(June 7th, 2012)"Dear friends, family and supporters, I have an announcement to make: About 3 weeks ago, I was diagnosed with colon cancer (signet cell carcinoma). I know what you're thinking "WTF?". Ya... me too. I struggled for a while with the decision to make this public, but I want to raise awareness about this type of cancer through my own experience.

I strongly urge anyone who sees this to go get screened (Talk to your doctor. It's a very simple process). Catching this type of thing early is always the best scenario and leaves you with the most options for a cure. It's very uncommon in people my age, but if it got me it can get you too. PLEASE GET SCREENED.

I have an advanced form of this cancer and so my treatment options are limited. I will be starting chemotherapy tomorrow and I'm also supplementing with an organic high alkaline diet (many thanks to Angela Allain and Steve Nurse for the amazing advice) and I am also seeing a naturopathic doctor who has suggested some excellent options to help me get though the chemo. The aim is to shrink the mass down to a size where I can have surgery to remove it. My family and I have done heavy research up to this point but if you know of anything new or revolutionary that may help, please inbox me.

Here begins my fight... Those of you who know me well know I WILL NOT GIVE UP on this and the words of encouragement I've received from friends and family thus far have been inspirational and kept me in great spirits. Especially those who have been gracious enough to share their own stories about how they beat it.

I want you guys to know that I may not be out much over the next little while. I will try to continue with Repercussions Radio if I'm feeling well enough to do so. And I will be doing my best to get home for Evolve as well.

Please don't look at me or treat me differently because of this you guys! I am still your boy and I have no plans of going anywhere any time soon! If you have you have any questions please inbox me. Mad love, Jay"
